Tortilla Burger Smothered in Green Chile Sauce

  2. Salt & pepper
  3. Tortilla
  4. Refried black beans
  5. Green chile sauce (click here for recipe)
  6. Shredded cheese (Mexican blend)
  7. Enchilada sauce
  8. Salt & pepper
  9. Tomatoes (optional)
  10. Avocado (optional)
  1. Use the ground beef to form a small burger patty that can easily be wrapped by the sized tortilla you have. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Cook over high heat on a frying pan to medium rare or desire wellness. Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. Warm your tortilla until soft and malleable (microwaving with a wet paper towel works great).
  4. Spread a thick layer of refried black beans over the center half of the tortilla.
  5. Place the burger in the middle and sprinkle with desired amount of cheese.
  6. Fold the tortilla around the burger and transfer immediately to an oiled oven safe frying pan over medium heat (folded side down).
  7. Brown each side of the tortilla burger, then top with green chile sauce and cheese.
  8. Broil in an oven until cheese is melted.
  9. Plate and top with dashes of enchilada sauce. Serve with fresh tomatoes and avocado.
